Which Hedge?

There are two choices of hedge, large or small. Small growing shrubs like Box (Buxus sempervirens) or Lavender (Lavandula) are often used for edging and partitioning herb gardens.

Privet hedges will eventually form a dense evergreen hedge that needs regular cutting when it reaches the desired size.

Common Beech (Fagus Sylvatica) is excellent for hedge making. Any other tree does not excel the rich golden-copper autumn foliage.
